Highlights of Volume 3 include rarely performed tracks from concerts and rehearsals, more from the 1985 Australian tour with Peter Tork, 1991 broadcasts from The Netherlands, and extremely rare "audience tapes" from the Micky Dolenz/Davy Jones shows of 1977.

The purpose of the WILD PONIES series is to play back an "audio diary," giving the listener a deeper look into the corners of the career of David Jones. Not all of the source material was recorded professionally, or came from master tapes that have endured the ravages of time and may not be ideal quality. Efforts have been made to restore or remaster these recordings, but please forgive the dropouts, distortions, and other audio shortcomings.
